XXVI Международный форум по информационно-коммуникационным технологиям ТИБО-2019 (TIBO) / Место проведения форума: Беларусь, г. Минск, пр. Победителей, 111 и 111А

OFFICIAL OPENING CEREMONY OF TIBO FORUM

On April 8, 2019, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Congress Hall, Minsk-Arena (Pobediteley Avenue, 111) will host the Official opening ceremony of XXVI International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies “TIBO-2019” and Plenary session “Strategy of digital transformation”.

The event is organized by the Ministry of Communications and Informatization and Technics and Communications JSC.

During the event, the international experience of digital transformation, forecasts and prospects for using latest technological trends, important problems and drivers of success in digital transformation will be discussed.

On 14 May 2018 an Official opening ceremony of XXV Anniversary International ICT Forum TIBO-2018 took place. 348 specialists representing 161 organizations from 17 countries (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Brazil, Canada, China, Egypt, Finland, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, The Republic of Korea, Russia, Sweden, Turkmenistan, the UK and Ukraine) participated in the event.

 

Top-level and mid-level managers constituted 52% of the audience.

Among the participants were the representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in the Republic of Belarus; representatives of the state authorities; sectoral associations; scientific and design organizations; telecommunication, consulting, investment, transportation, medical and ICT companies; financial, educational, sport institutions; manufacturing and trade enterprises; mass media.

With welcome speeches the Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Popkov, the Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the Arab Republic of Egypt Nermine EL Saadany, the Head of the European Union Delegation in the Republic of Belarus Andrea Victorin, the General Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Communications Commonwealth Nurudin Mukhitdinov addressed participants at the event.

 

 

The Director of the Regional Office of the International Telecommunication Union for the CIS Kirill Oparin announced welcome speech of the Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union Houlin Zhao, and the representative of the Eurasian Economic Commission Pavel Tkach announced welcome speech of the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Tigran Sargsyan.

 

Further work of the event was continued by speeches of heads of the leading world brands: Regional President in Central Asia and the Caucasus of Huawei James Chen; Member of Board, Vice-President of Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) Andrey Smelkov (Russia); Regional Vice-President Eutelsat S. A.  for Russia and CIS Nikolay Orlov; Executive Director of China Telecom Europe Cao Li (United Kingdom); Vice President for East Europe at Nokia Mobile Networks Demetrio Russo (Italy).

  

 

Participants told about “smart world” where everything is connected, online and intellectually; need of development of digital technologies; to the infrastructure necessary for implementation of digital transformation; experience in area of the Internet of Things; financial and educational technologies.
